Xbox vs. PS3???

Why is it that these days there is such a big 'hype' over the Xbox 360 vs. the Play Station 3? Is there that big of a difference? Do the differences really matter? These are questions that are commonly asked among the gaming community and I plan on giving my two cents worth!

So, why is it that there is such a big deal over which is better or worse? The answer is not quite cut and dry, but there are distinct advantages and disadvantages to both! For instance, the PS3 has a Blu-Ray drive, where the Xbox has just a standard DVD drive. However, the Xbox has a better online gaming community than the PS3 does. The actual 'advantages' of both are quite subjective!

Do the differences matter that much?

This depends largely on what type of gamer you are. If you are a relaxed gamer that prefers to lounge around on his couch and watch Avatar in the most insane graphics and unbeatable picture value, and you're on a tight budget and can't make it down to Best Buy to buy a $300 Blu-Ray player, chances are you are going to want to buy a PS3.

On the other hand, if you are a hardcore Halo Reach player and just love to 'vegitate' on the couch in your man cave with a Super-Sized bag of Cheetos and an extra large Dr. Pepper (while owning that so-called "Hero" thats really a 9 year-old middle school drop-out), in a game of Slayer on Rumble Pit, then you are probably going to want to get an Xbox 360.

The moral of the story is, decide what type of gamer you are, and stop messin' around! Get with the program and go get on your console and try to get on the leaderboard TODAY!
